Emile Weber and Twiliner officially present the first Twiliner coach in Luxembourg
Emile Weber x Twiliner
Canach, October 30, 2025 – In the presence of the Minister for Mobility, Yuriko Backes, the Emile Weber Group and the Swiss start-up Twiliner unveiled the first Twiliner coach at the company’s site in Canach – a sustainable and comfortable solution for overnight long-distance travel that combines comfort, innovation, and environmental responsibility. This event marks a major milestone in the development of environmentally friendly long-distance transport in Luxembourg and across Europe.
Guests were given an exclusive opportunity to discover the first coach equipped with patented reclining seats – a European first designed to transform the way people travel overnight.
Twiliner vehicles offer a unique travel experience: as sustainable as a train, as comfortable as a business-class flight, and as flexible as a bus. Certified by MyClimate, Twiliner journeys generate only 24 g of CO₂ per passenger-kilometre, compared to 276 g for a plane, representing a reduction of around 91% in emissions.
Partnership with Emile Weber
The Emile Weber Group, a strategic partner and pioneering investor in Twiliner, will begin operating in November 2025 on the first European route connecting Zurich and Amsterdam, with a stop in Luxembourg. Ticket prices will range from €155 to €250 depending on distance and season. By the end of 2025, a second route between Zurich and Barcelona will be launched. Additional routes are already planned for 2026, with the goal of expanding the Twiliner network to a total of 30 European destinations within the next three years.
Twiliner will also offer custom charter services for corporate events, conferences, private trips, and transfers to ski resorts, providing a flexible premium solution for group travel.
A redefined travel experiences
Each Twiliner coach features 21 business-class seats, including 3 on the lower deck and 18 on the upper deck, offering every passenger their own personal space to relax and sleep comfortably. The interior is equipped with a spacious restroom, wardrobe, coffee machine, refrigerator, and a large luggage compartment. This innovative design represents a new generation of long-distance travel, combining technology, design, and sustainability.
This new approach to overnight travel reflects the shared ambition of Twiliner and the Emile Weber Group to rethink European mobility by uniting comfort, innovation, and sustainability.
